At our Karachi branch, we recently celebrated the major milestone of Zubaan’s 7th birthday! Along with this celebration, we had a formal handover of leadership from Michaela Bekaan to Andrew Battiato. Michaela faithfully founded and led Zubaan since 2017 to make it a premiere Urdu-learning institute and publisher of high-quality Urdu resources.
In light of a our commitment to exploring new cultures and promoting language learning, we enjoyed a special intercultural activity, fun games related to languages, awards, and prizes for attendees! Zubaan even got its own special birthday cake! As part of the Zubaan celebration, we took special time to give thanks to Michaela for all her hard work and dedication in promoting Urdu and growing Zubaan to be the go-to place for Urdu learning.
Besides the leadership, our teachers and admin staff are absolutely crucial to the success of Zubaan and ensuring the satisfaction of our hundreds of customers over the years. We give thanks especially to the amazing Urdu teachers who – through testing the material in the classroom and giving valuable feedback – helped in the development of our Qadam Beginner Urdu series.
We even had a passing of the baton! Andrew is excited for this new chapter and to carry on the torch, ensuring that Zubaan continues to serve its staff and customers with excellence. Check out the Instagram reel to see what it was like to be at the celebration.
