Qadam A2.1 – Urdu as a Foreign Language Course and Workbook

Qadam is a complete Urdu beginners course book designed to help Urdu learners take their first steps towards fluency in Urdu. Together with the Qadam Media Package, it can be used for private or group courses, as well as self-study.

This is the 3rd book in the series and is intended for learners who have either completed the book Qadam A1.2. or who have reached the level A2. through other means.

Previously Part 1 of Qadam A2.1 was available, containing the initial 3 chapters. Now the full version with all 7 chapters is available!

What’s New?

Our publications are always developed and tested in the classroom. Since the publication of the 3rd edition, we have noticed the need for learning resources that focus on developing specific reading and writing subskills. This includes understanding words from context, sight reading, understanding intensive and extensive reading skills, and more. So, in this expanded 4th edition, we have added a variety of activities to do just that.

We have also expanded Section 2 to include reading and writing activities that match all the chapters of our popular Urdu for beginner series: “Qadam A1.1.” and “Qadam A1.2.” This means this workbook is now suitable for complete beginners as well as advanced beginners (CEFR Level A1-A2).

After more than one year of hard work, we are now in the final stages of publishing our new Urdu Book: Qadam A1.1

Qadam means “step” in Urdu and it was developed for beginner students to help them take their first steps in in the Urdu language.

Qadam A1.1. contains a course- and workbook, so it can be used either with a teacher or for self-study. In addition, theQadam A1.1. Media Package will be release with rich video and audio content especially designed for this curriculum.

By the end of the course – i.e. after 40-50 hours of lessons – students will have reached the Level A1.1. (according to the Common European Framework of Reference)
